Alison Fass is an abstract artist living in the Baltimore area. She studied at The University of Houston where she received her Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work. Her practice focused on trauma treatment in Houston for 3 years, prior to returning to her hometown of Baltimore to continue her career as a psychotherapist.

As a child Alison frequented The Baltimore Museum of Art and The Walters Museum and felt magically transported to other worlds by the surroundings. She discovered the enchanting world of the Cone Collection which included a variety of works, the most memorable for her were the Matisse pieces. The exhibit included a replica of a portion of Etta and Claribel Cone's apartment with the pieces displayed in situ. It was captivating. The experience provided peace and comfort in an anxious world. She has fond memories of friends and family members who were artists and has held them in high esteem throughout her life. It was a lifelong dream for Alison to discover whether she could express herself through the creation of art.
